For sure! Several of our Cafe positions really don't "require" much interaction with the kids.
FURTHER, if talking to kids really intimidates you, we are also looking to build out a maintenance team (snow removal, lawn care, building handyman, etc.), website teams, marketing and email teams, fundraising teams, etc.
Absolutely. The Rock does background checks for everyone serving or interacting with kids at The Rock.
Yes, we ask all of our volunteers to support our Mission, Vision, and Statement of Faith.
Introducing the youth in the Gallatin Valley to Jesus and fostering the relationship we can have with Him.
Cultivating space for youth to experience the unconditional love of Jesus and be welcomed and encouraged through relationship with Christ and His Church.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, the Son (Jesus) and The Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus was born of a virgin by the power of The Holy Spirit, was fully man and fully God, and lived a sinless life. We believe His death was the atonement for the sins of humanity. We believe in His resurrection from the dead and ascension back to the right hand of the Father. We believe He sent us His Holy Spirit to live inside us and through that He gave us access to relationship with Himself, the creator of the Universe. We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, and that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of The Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God and that it is inerrant in its original writing.
Serving at The Rock doesn't require a special skill set for most positions. If you can put a slice of pizza on a plate or toast a bagel, you're ready to go! Once per semester we have a more involved training day for becoming a barista or to learn how to manage the cafe. Aside from that, we train while you serve!
